About this collection

This collection began as a joyful celebration of the fall zip in the air, the giggles of children, and the happy places we grow in our spaces. It plummeted into and held space for my grief and tears through another miscarriage. ....And then documented as my heart sat in quiet waiting for God. For help. For healing. For hope. And found them. Now, each piece stands as a celebration. But not the joy of jumping in leaf piles or comfy sweaters. Deeper than that, they celebrate God. That our gut-wrenching, primal cry of pain is heard by the heart of a feeling, empathizing God. One who doesn't just watch, but lets us dump on Him the weight of our grief, gives us the physical strength to care for all the spinning things that do not stop for us, and reminds us one by one of His promises. He teaches us to find hope,

to see the Light again.

Why paint

Roses

When I want to de-stress, I paint roses. There is just something about having the physical rose in my room, the fragrance, the glowing sunlight, the soft petal texture and the quiet blending brush stokes. The roses stretch and turn unerringly toward any speck of sunshine they can find. It is a visual reminder for me. Where does my daily Help come from? I know. Look toward the Light. Darkness all around? Look toward the Light. Worried? Look toward the Light. Crying in the night? Look toward the Light.

And like the rose, if we choose the Light, and allow grace to glow through us, we will find strength, and will begin

to see the beauty.

Xoxo,

Elizabeth
